Happy to have completed another week in this 2016 Album, One week at a time. This week I used Ali Edwards Story Kit that I purchased in Digital format, This way is the best for me as I can use them over and over again. I LOVE this months theme called "Believe" it was so just what I needed to kick off some of this weeks stories. Here is a look at our week in photo's.
With the "believe" them I also cut up scratch white cardstock and made my own journal cards with Elise Cripes Get to work book Tape "today" using it on top or bottom strips and two fully covered cards & this was a great filler card idea - you could also do stamps.
I stamped that "yes you can" in Photoshop with the stamp set being a brush then added a metal brad in the middle of the "you".
For this week I made an insert just finding it was a little photo heavy kind of a week and by adding in a few more pockets even if they are the 2x2 it made more room for additional stories I want to document.
This week Ava was mastering her Skipping rope - something I remember very well at her age. I love that she just get's outside and creates her own fun, although it's difficult to get off the devices and enjoy the sun.
I loved catching that sunset!

I am still using those large numbers in the pockets to mark my weeks and date stamped - it's neat seeing more and more people doing this now as well.
I posted a small vid on my IG about how I made a flap pocket with this 4x6 card and another one adhered to the back, then I punched out the half circle at the bottom to show that There is something underneath to read.

the back side of the flip card and you can see the tape I used to create that hinge to flip the cards. I ended up using a blank white card stock paper to journal out some thoughts ... I was following the prompt from Ali "What I know to be true" this got surprisingly deep and kinda emotional, I whited out and smudged out some areas as I am wanting to keep this part private for now. I am really happy I did this deep journaling it really let me see things differently. Maybe not differently but TRUE.
A highlight of the week was going to see Finding Dory in the theater, We all LOVED it!
This week was a lot of outside, Garden, sunsets, park, thunderstorms.
I am in love with that card on the top right pocket also from the AE "believe" Story kit.
