When I looked at the calender in late July I noticed that we had an unusual long Anniversary weekend coming up in August, With our actual anniversary on the saturday it was obvious that we would celebrate it no other way than at the cabin in the country. How perfect that I had four days off to celebrate that!
Packing up everything (including the kitchen sink) as this family cabin that my Dad built with his own hands is "off grid". That means no electrical and no water!! we haul our own water and to be honest I love it! The best part of coming out to this cabin is that I GREW UP coming out here! This cabin sit's on our familes land & I have tons of memories coming out here and now I watch my children here enjoying the things that I did as a kid. So so cool!
Something about putting the busy parts of life behind you for a few days to get back to peace and quiet. To get to a place that my heart loves and misses during winter months, The older I get the more I crave this simple life & to be very honest I would give up everything today ... the house ... the van ... the life here in the city and trade it in for a life of LESS.
Best photo of the three of them!
Best blurry sunflower photo!
Pit stop and checking the kayak ... making sure it's not going to fall off.
Arriving at the cabin, They just run like wild in the free open space.

Last bonfire of the trip and then packing things in the next day ... we loved our little getaway to our cabin and the memories made here.
